Honda repairs

Thanks for your reply, however I'm still confused! It sounds to me like you're talking more about customers who bring in their car for service and a break is noticed by a service tech.
I'm strickly talking about vehicles bought at auction, traded in, etc. and others getting ready for retail. Those vehicles including Honda's have always been me doing the repairs, until last week on the Honda Element.

And as far as I know (I have looked up your posts in this topic) there nowhere is stated that you were working for or talking about (quote) >... vehicles bought at auction, traded in, etc. and others getting ready for retail. <

If that indeed is the situation, and you are just talking auction, traded in, etc. vehicles getting ready for retail, and not talking about car dealerships, well, than that indeed has nothing to do with any grip on auto glass whatsoever. We must both have been 'confused' I guess, enjoy your day....

My bad! I did not specify what the vehicle was other than it was a Honda Element. It was a used vehicle just unloaded from the car carrier. I assume it had been purchased at auction.
However,to justify my post, when talking about certified car programs from any manufacturer, are we not talking only about used cars being sold as retail? New cars or customer cars have no need to be certified!

Hi,

I work for a Honda dealer in KS and have seen many of these Elements get their windshields replaced. This however is not because they are certified-we have service customers getting this done as well and that is because the Elements I believe up until 07 have a "service bulletin" on them(something about the angel of the glass that keeps debris such as rocks from deflecting properly). This means that these dealerships can have Honda warranty and pay for the replacement of these windshields. So the dealer is the one that doesn't want a repair because Honda will not pay for it. 08 and 09 model years seem to have been corrected.

Hi there, I own a Honda Element the Elemet had problems with the Windshield ie stress cracks I got some court papers regarding this matter in the mail once ,I have been lucky with my own Element no stress cracks? but have billed my own car Insurance for a few repairs????????????????????
