Re: Finding partner
Hi, I still think the best way to go is to work with Glass shops ie any replacemets that you pick up you send them over to a Glass Shop any repairs a glass shop gets ask the Glass shop to send it over to you. There are a lot of glass shops that do not like to do repairs ??????
Re: Finding partner
To answer your question I partnered up with a glass shop in Michigan in 2002. They actually hired me as a subcontractor sales rep I repair their stonechips and recieve 80% on all windshield repairs referrals from the shop and an 8% commision on all windshield replacements. The benefit I have is they love fleet accounts but hate stonechip repairs so I set the fleets up through my business for the repairs. Has worked out great back in 2004 I made over $40,000.00 extra on repairs and replacement commisions through the glass shop alone plus did real well with my business. It can be done if you find a shop willing to work with you.
Re: Finding partner
I think you have a great idea.........and remember to that it can go both ways, don't forget to refer replacements BACK to them. Obviously you will find windshields that are beyond repair and need replacing. Make sure to trade fees, that is, you share with them in repairs and they share with you in replacements. It could be a percentage or flat rate, whatever makes sense to the both of you when you sit down. This way, you both win!
