Brennan29 was right about doing repairs on a real car vs one placed on a stand. You'll get a better experience once you do one on a real car. Offer to do them for friends and family first, maybe even for no charge. Once you do a few (follow your kit manufacturer's directions to a T) you will feel better and with each additional one you will gain confidence. But, don't be afraid to stay a little conservative. If it looks like a real bad one or a tremendously long crack and your not that experienced, then pass and move on to the ones that are a little less complicated at first.
