Korey is correct. Fortunately we don't have to do that all that often. Last night I did delete two posts from the water cooler because one of them made it appear that I was somehow thumbing my nose at screenman, and the second post was in response to that one, and I believe it simply read "good grief". In retrospect I should have left those posts in tact and taken the time to respond, but it was at the end of a very long day in a very long week, so I decided to delete the posts knowing that one or both of you would call me out on it, allowing me the opportunity to respond.

Screenman knows I have the utmost respect for him, and although we don't agree on everything, when he offers his opinion I take it to heart. My response to him and others who don't agree with my decision to try to keep our forums on topic was not meant to be disrespectful in any way, so I felt that the 1st comment that followed was inappropriate and the 2nd comment would make no sense after the 1st one was deleted. I was tired and hungry so I decided to go home to my family rather than take the time to respond, which no doubt would also have made you unhappy.

Again, Korey is right, we will delete posts when we believe they are outside of the forum guidelines or make no sense. We have never tried to hide that fact, and have stated it publicly many times. We will also ban members who continually break the forum rules. The most successful forums for finding relevant information are actively managed, and this one is no exception. I try harder than most moderators to explain my actions, but as Delta Kits grows and as the forum grows that becomes a more and more time consuming process. There are only so many hours in the day so there will be times when I cannot take time to explain everything my job entails.

Input and suggestions from members are always welcome if submitted in a rational and respectful way, which screenman and "most" other forum members do. However that does not mean we will always use a member's suggestions. With thousands of members that is simply not possible. Frankly this rather lengthy post is a waste of my time. You spent 2 seconds and absolutely no thought on your post which states the obvious, but it has taken me 15 minutes to formulate what I hope will be seen as a reasonable response.

And you thought I had no sense of humor.

My post of "Good Grief" was a statement of disbelief at the fact that we got slightly off course and used a "bit of banter" and fellow members complained to you, Brent. This is not "Rocket Science" guys lighten up!! A tad bit of humor will not kill us, in fact it may make us live longer :D .

Come on guys. Give the moderators a break please. Do you have any idea how much #$it they need to delete on a weekly basis? I have noticed too many silly posts that were just intended to be an advertisement, leading to websites that sell anything from computers, cell phones and other items we do not want to see promoted here (at least I don't like it). That was the one and only purpose for me to post the topic about ''Pointless Posts'' some two weeks ago. Of course that was not about funny replies, it was just about advertisements and other forms of promotions. I for one indeed do appriciate the energy and many hours the moderators have to put in into the forum and I also understand that, when you make long hours, one sometimes can be a little annoyed >which may lead in deleting, or, like Screenman mentioned the other day; the fingers were quicker than the brain. It happens but it is not exactly a matter of life and dead is it? Happy Easter to all of you.

Frank - I am not beating up the moderators, I am complaining about fellow members who complain just hear themselves type. The moderators do a great job as you stated and it's not a job I would want. I think you missed the point of my post, Frank. It was directed at the complainers not the moderators. And....Happy Easter to you too!

Happy Easter! What a wonderful life we all have when our problems are this small. Way to put things in perspective gentlemen.

I know Frank has a sense of humor as he once took up about 15 minutes of Korey's time with a "tech support" issue that really had us going. I still plan to send you a bill for that Frank!

Screenman also has a sense of humor as he got me good on April Fools day last year. I think I spent about an hour responding to a post he made that had me thinking he had gone loco.

British humor always costs me time and money! ;)
