Does anyone have a good method to make windshield breaks to practice on?

To make stars, I use a spring loaded punch, and for bullseyes I use the rubberband with the bb on it. I don't know how to make a crack, although they seem to happen naturally on my practice windshield!

actualy a bee bee gun is my choice but dont be to close it will take a big hunk of glass out if you do the gun leaves a knarly divit and a funky break but my thinking is practice on the hard ones its currently -22 deg here so im not fixxin nutin today BRRRRR

Any star or combo that results from his suggestions can then be turned into a crack(s) by rapping the w/s from the inside with the side of your fist. Rap too hard and you'll split the entire w/s.

You can also pick up practice windshields in the dumpsters behind replacement shops.

All you need is a ball bearing or marble with a hole big enough for a rubber band. Slide you rubber band through the hole, hold on with your fingers (slingshot) draw back on the ball bearing and you got yourself a break to work on.

Don't forget an easyer way to break a windshield. Just throw the last technician you saw doing a crapy job on a chip through the windshield.
