Air bubbles in pit area
Air bubbles in pit area
I am new to WSR and I am having a problem with air bubbles in the pit area of the break when I remove the holding device and am preparing to place a curing sheet and cure. What can I do to prevent this.

If you tell us how you were trained to do it and maybe by who, also what equipment you are currently using we may certainly be able to help.

Patriot,
Welcome to the forum! You will find a wealth of information on the forum. Also, there are a lot of informational videos on our website. I should add that most of my advice is specific to Delta Kits equipment, but I know that some technicians will remove the bridge as soon as the cracks appear to be completely filled, but I would recommend doing one extra vacuum and pressure cycle just to make sure that there is no air compressed at the end or edges of a crack. Often times this extra step will reveal that there was still a tiny pocket of air hiding somewhere within the damaged area. This air can be difficult if not impossible to see, but can migrate to the surface, or near the surface depending on how fast the curing occurs.

I personally would neutralize the pressure, then when you remove the injector sorta let it come up higher so that the resin will be able to run back down into the hole. Most folks will just lift the injector and then put the curing patch over the break and by that time is will have to bubble in the hole.Patriot wrote:I am new to WSR and I am having a problem with air bubbles in the pit area of the break when I remove the holding device and am preparing to place a curing sheet and cure. Is this what you are encountering?
I use the Glass Technology system and the LR QT system and that is how I do it with both...
