I keep having the same problem that the resin eats up the rubber on my eye droppers. does anyone know of a good eye dropper/amber bottle combo that does not let enough light in to cure the resin and also has good durable rubber that will not corrode?? please let me know how to get some better droppers and bottles. thanks guys

After extensive testing Delta Kits have come to the conclusion that resin does not corrode the eye dropper. The issue is caused by over tightening the eye dropper so do not over tighten the eye dropper just make it snug.

I also had the same problem with eye droppers.......The rubber (top portion of eye dropper) will not last long before it basically dissolves???????I did use denatured alcohol to clean it....Anyway I now use syringes.........easy to control resin flow....measure resin....and durable in regards to cleaning...I recommend syringe...eye droppers never lasted me over 2 days...what would over tightening have to do with it?????We certainly don't want resin to leak....you gotta tighten???

You have to tighten it but not over tighten it. If you make it snug the resin will not leak.

Let me also add that our testing includes soaking the bulb at the top of the dropper in resin for 90 days. When they are removed from the resin they are in perfect condition and ready to use. They do not soften or deteriorate if they are not cracked. When I first started repairing windshields I had to replace a couple of droppers, but I can't even remember the last time I had one fail on me now that I don't overtighten them on the bottle.

Another thing that can cause the bulb to crack and leak is if the tray of the Delta Kits tool box is placed improperly. When the lid is closed it should not touch the dropper. If it does, the tray needs to be turned around.

Once there is a crack in the bulb it will give the appearance of deterioration, and should of course be replaced immediately. It's a very simple problem to solve, but there is nothing wrong with using syringes if that works better for you.

One last caution. Many windshield repair resins are not meant to be placed in glass containers, and may very well deteriorate the dropper bulbs. MagniBond and Premium Bond are safe to use in glass bottles and have been tested extensively with the droppers supplied by Delta Kits, but if you are filling glass bottles with other windshield repair resin products there is no telling what might happen.

Thanks for the info..The eye droppers have driven me nuts. I like working with an eye dropper better than a syringe so I will try again following your instructions...Thanks

Mention it on your next order and we'll send you a few extra, but I'm confident you won't be having the problem any longer.

I have never had a problem with the droppers, in fact the one I have has been used for as very long time as I tend to top it up from my bulk supplies.

Never needed to, it does not get dirty and I avoid getting UV on it as much as possible.
