Hi - I've been reading this forum for a few months but this is my first post. I took the Delta Kits training back in January of this year and have a canopy set-up in a self service car wash and have only around 100 vehicles repaired under my belt so far.
My question is - Has anyone run into problems with Honda and/or Acura windshield glass? I saw the posts about the Element, but the vehicles I'm referring to are like the Acura MDX and the corresponding Honda model. These have big sloping windshields. I've run into 2 of them recently with a simple star break about in the middle and as soon as I put the injector on (minimal pressure - only 1/2 turn) the star starts to crack out. The last one I barely touched the inside trying to put the inspection mirror on and the thing cracked about 8 inches each in 2 different directions. I was able to repair the cracks but I am very gun-shy about doing any Hondas or Acuras with this windshield. I talked to Bruce at Delta and he thinks these may have been replaced windshields but I wanted to find out if anyone else is having any issues with these windshields.
Thanks,
Larry

Re: Honda Glass - Any Problems?
I have looked on a Honda Acura forum website and there are a few comments about how easily the windscreen breaks compared to vehicles they have owned before. Most comments refer to the glass being thinner or softer ??. If the glass is thinner, then this would make it more susceptible to cracking off when applying pressure. Hope this helps

I've run into problems with a couple of Hondas and some Toyotas - AP Tech glass.
