WINDSHIELD REPAIR SPECIALIST ??

Please give me 100 post on this guys, how many of you consider yourself a WINDSHIELD REPAIR SPECIALISTS do any of you have it on your trucks, business cards, invoices etc.
I really need a lot of feedback on this. I have a little problem here with someone that thinks using that phrase is illegal

I have used that phrase for years on my biz cards and invoices. It's right under my buisness name. "windshield repair specialist" or "mobile windshield repair specialists"

I can't imagine it's illegal to use a phrase that describes your biz or what you do. I would take offense to a PDR guy or replacement tech, etc... using this description if they don't spend the majority of their time and effort actually doing WSR.

If WSR is just an add-on or side job, then I would have a problem with it. You can't "specialize" in several things... just one, IMO.

I have never used the term. However if I did, I can't imagine anyone should take offense to it. It sounds as though there is concern over whether this term is copyrighted. I am not a lawyer . I cannot imagine that this could be copyrighted.

WOW Brian! You must have really pissed somebody off for them to pull that one out of a hat! Personally, I don't use that phrase on any business stuff but from a legal standpoint who really knows? These days you can sue for having hot coffee spill on your lap! Unfortunately you may be stuck with consulting a attorney to defend your position.

God only knows how many attorneys I've had to deal with throughout my business life. I'll make some calls on Monday and get back to you on this subject! These guys owe me some free legal advice. In the meantime I suggest you search for any info concerning this matter in your state. Might find something of value to use.

Just my 2 cents worth- I haven't used it yet, just starting out and don't feel as though I can claim that yet, but alot of places use "----- specialist" for their logo, depending on what they do. Being as that is what your job is and you specialese in it I would think you would be "a specialist".Probably no help but good luck to you and keep us posted.. O.K.? Me

P.S. If this is a copywrited saying- then most everything we say or print could be copywritten and we would loose ALOT of our phrases, ad logos, etc........
