Congratulations Dave. There is nothing more important than family, and having a child or grandchild certainly has a way of putting things in perspective.

For me if I can get 4 to 6 jobs a day I'd be happy. I usualy get only 0 to 3 jobs a day.

I go with Screenman. We never go cheap, we always charge our standard rates (which are typically a bit higher than many others, but we are repair only and have no option to offer costly replacements to be making up for cheap repair rates). Currently I am only working during the weekend, early in the morning or after 1900, I just find it too bloody hot (we are enjoying a heat wave here in this part of Europe with temps over 30 centigrade). It is too hot for we Dutch :D

Normally I average around 45 repairs per week, this is fleet work only.

I am retired--I repair windshields by request and am not investing in advertising. I play golf (only on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.) Too many windshield repairs would negatively impact my favorite pasttime.

Right on Layne!

I'm also retired and my passion has become wood carving, scrolling , turning and pyrography along with exercising.

If I do three or four repairs a day (when we are not travelling the RV Rally circut) early in the morning or evening after it cools off I'm very content.
We stay in several large campgrounds in Colorado over the summers and may do 5,6,7,8 but that becomes too much like work. Gotta smell the roses.
By the way, call or write and I'll tell you an amazing story about Brent, Korey and Delta Kits that will renew your faith in the human race and integrity that is so lacking in todays society and business world.
I have no commercial accounts except several RV Dealers who pay me upon completion at my normal rate of $65.00 and $20.00 cash or check.
No billing!
About 50% of our business is insurance which is now minimum $50.00 and $10.00 low end to many $60.00 to $70.00 flat.

Where in East Texas are you?

One of my boys is a proud Texas Game Warden in Harden County outside of Beaumont.

We would like to hear from you for networking to refer an occasional call from Liberty, Lufkin and Trinity.

This old geezer would like to say to those who sell their work cheap it is not profitable to try to cover business and living expenses while trying to just beat the guy on the other corner's price. Give your price proudly as one who knows what he or she is doing.
