Invoice Wording - Your opinion?

Post by anythingclose »

I am currently in the process of designing my invoices. I am working on the wording of my guarantee, and though I will probably have an attorney look at it at some point, I would appreciate any advice/criticism you would care to offer. Basically, I want to stand behind my repairs to the person/entity who originally purchased the repair for as long as they own the windshield by either re-repairing (if possible) or refunding them their money. However, I want to be able to have this transferrable to new owners. Refunding money to a new owner who never actually paid for the repair is sort of silly, in my opinion, so I wanted to word it so that the new owner could rely on me to re-repair anything if possible, but not actually issue a refund to the new owner. Does this wording seem to accomplish that in your opinion?
(Company Name) guarantees our repairs will not crack or spread for as long as you own the vehicle. In the event one of our repairs does crack or spread, we will assess the damage and determine if a re-repair can be performed. If it is not possible to re-repair the damage satisfactorily, we will issue a refund to the party responsible for payment in an amount not to exceed the invoice amount. A copy of the invoice will be required for any guarantee work or refund. We recommend you retain this copy for your records.

If the vehicle is sold or transferred to a new owner please provide this invoice to the new owner. Although we will not issue a refund to anyone except the party originally responsible for payment, we will stand behind our work for the life of the windshield and re-repair if necessary and possible.
Thanks in advance for any tips/advice!
