Re: ACT
How much work do you want to do yourself and what is it worth to you? We don't see too many people on the $12.95 plan as they are willing to call the insurance companies themselves, but there are those who prefer to call ACT and let them take care of everything else.

Re: ACT
If you go to the ACT website and click on Plans you will see all the differences between the (3) plans, but the main difference between paying $12.95 and $5.95 is the call you will make to the insurance company or network. However with the $5.95 plan you can submit claims over the internet or by fax. With the $12.95 plan you do everything over the telephone.
Most of our customers who chose ACT prefer the $2.95 plan as it gives you almost everything that the $5.95 plan gives you. Again, all of this information is available on the ACT website and I know the folks there are happy to answer any questions you may have, so I feel the only real value to asking questions about ACT here on the windshield repair forum is to see if forum members like ACT better than other claims submittal services and if so, which plan they use.
Most of our technical support calls come from technicians who took advice about using Delta Kits products from members of this forum who have never attended our training, or from watching videos made by people who do not know how to properly use Delta Kits equipment. Always go to the source whenever possible. In this case ACT is very accessible and is the best source of information for the service they sell.

Re: ACT
OK
This really isnt as confusing as it seems.
Basically you need to ask yourself this.
This job pays me x amount of dollars do i want to give up 13.00 of that for someone to do what I can do.
I call and get all approvals myself. The only time I will call ACT is if its an insurance company I have never heard of before!
ACT does the same thing you can do, My opinion you should want to do it yourself. When starting a business you have to scrape and save every dime you can until you can afford to spend out some cash. You have to start out small and let it grow from there!
So I would choose the lowest plan, call in the insurance for approval myself and then either call in the claim to act or better yet as i stated in the email. Just go on the site and file it there under "Online Claims"
Trust me I called one in just one and it took about 10 minutes when filing it online only takes a few minutes like 3!

Re: ACT
I've never visited the ACT site before and checked them out until now because I have always used Data Tranz to do all of my processing. No offense to ACT, but I like Data Tranz so much better. It's just very cut and dry. You fax them over your invoice, and for $1.99 they process it for you and it takes about 10 to 14 days to get my money, which is quick if you ask me. None of this, "oh for another $3 we will Rapid advance you your $$".
Data Tranz doesn't take anything out of Insurance $$$, they just deduct from your account at the end of each month what you owe, example, Joe Bob Billy Repair Shop Faxed over 20 invoices for the month, at the end of the month you will be charged on your Debit/credit card 20X$1.99....pretty simple if you ask me.
But, to each their own in the fine world of Windshield Repairs. Th only complaint about DT, is over the years the Customer Service has been a little wishy-washy from time-to-time, maybe it's just them South Dakota peeps...........just kidding
That was my 2 cents......again!

Re: ACT
When the company is up and running and there are unbillables, how do i find out whether or not it is unbillable and once I find out what are the steps to receive payment? i understand with some of the unbillables the customer may not have coverage and wont be able to bill unless otherwise noted in the invoice, but if it is not noted in the invoice is there any way of still receiving payment?
