I got one repair and one HL restoration from flyers given at one of my inspection station referal sites. Thats an improvement. Everytime I go to walmart or lowes I park at one end of the parking lot and put flyers on vehicles that need repair. It only takes a few minutes to put out 10-30 flyers. The effort is printing them up and figuring out what to promote. I plan to stay on the education and finder s fee mode for a few months. Time, I have at the moment. Satisfied customers, Iam hoping will generate me leads when I get busy. I just noticed this week that my name comes up first when I type search for WS repair on Bing for my area. Thats got to help. I think I jumped the gun by setting up credit card service. That cost me $15 per month. I have yet to use it. My clients pay cash and only a few by check. I have not recieved a single call from any insurance company. I was sort of lead to believe most people pay by debit card or credit card. Iam finding that NOT TO BE TRUE, IN MY AREA OF THE COUNTRY.

$15 per month is not the end of the world. In my opinion more and more people will start to be paying cash, be it for groceries or services, they will be using the card services less times than they were doing before. When I am at a Home Depot, Wal Mart, Kroger, Meijer or other store, the number of people paying cash is significant compared to two, three and four years ago. It may be a state related thing (MI), this I don't know. But I can tell you that I do notice the same thing in ON and OH. Fact is that many people, if you talk with them, are fed up with banks, going cash and reducing the use of card services is the result. If you are able to go cash; the more power to you, I would say; do it whenever you have the opportunity. No more fees or interest. Cash is king!

I am not setup to accept credit / debit cards. Occasionally I have had customers that wanted to pay with a card (not many though). When I told them that I could not accept cards, they were willing to pay cash or with a check. On the other hand, that's not my primary market I serve, because I mostly deal with fleet accounts and dealers. Maybe I could learn a thing or two in this forum to expand my business by going after these cash / check / card paying customers.
