I was a little flippant with you and did not mean to offend . I am going to investigate your suggestion on coupons I think that is a great idea . I also make an effort to make it personal and uplifting when I meet and work for people . Everyone likes a SMILE

I like to do the best repair possible.
I clean the windshield inside and out. The repair always looks best on a nice clean windshield.
I only charge $50.
I'm already doing people a favor by charging so little for a nice job, so there is no way I am going to give someone free windshield wipers or polish their dash.
People will remember me and tell their friends because I showed up, I did what I said I was going to do, and the results exceeded their expectations.

Maybe in other parts of the country like Santa Cruz were the competition is not very steep, you can get away with just showing up, and doing what is expected.

Here in Utah were you have a tent on every 4th block and armies of door to door sales reps, I remember one time walking in a shop and another WSR Tech was leaving as I was entering and as I left came another. Even in residential areas going door to door territories are swamped I think I am hitting a new area and it was just hit last night and weeks ago.

So if you can get away with not investing in your business then my hat is off to you but I don't want to spend ever day, day in and day out door to door so I can get my 6-8 repairs per day. I would like to have them come to me after a while thats all.

Frogknowledge, thanks for the insight I am just starting out and you to work for a company that strived on word of mouth in the flooring industry. What you are saying is very true. I was wondering what those stickers were called (static cling). Thanks again
