I stopped working 7 days per week, for this seazon (winter is coming up) I reduced it to only 3.
In average, between those 3 days, I would say that I perform 25 to 30 repairs.
Summertime is much better, due to longer days (more light), 4 and 7 working days and better conditions, you may double or sometimes even triple that number.
This is just windshield repairs, nothing else. I have no other jobs on the side. Hope this helps a little.

I want to chime in please...

This is to the poster who is concerned about the gas issue!

I too was dealing with that issue and I found a fix and it works!
When you come to a door that is locked, Have some tape on you and tape the flyer or card to the door, On your way to where you are going make stops along your way into parks where there are vehicles. Get out and walk the entire lot. Walk in front of vehicles of course and scope out the WS. When you find a potential look for the door that is somewhat closest to that vehicle and step in (people tend to park as close to the door thier going in), ask to speak to the individual who owns or drives the Yellow Gremlin outside! (It came to mind, Dunno)

When you see them, Spill your Spill!

I started doing this about 3 months ago and it has increased my WSR by 4 extra chips a day. Hey thats 4 chips I didnt have scheduled!

You will get those that arent interested , Keep your head up and keep looking!
I would advise coming up with a Sales Pitch or a Good Sale in general, Everyone loves a Deal! ;)

Thanks Shine . I was pondering that very problem today . I think I will play on that Idea and get card magnets and leave a card on the door that someone WILL get it . the tapeing thing may work too for those doors not made of metal . I must say I have got ten beat down by all the negatives latley but I am putting forth a new effort and revisiting things I have tried in the past. Thanks ....

There can be a problem in some area's leaving cards without permission, the first being that if they fall off the vehicle or get dropped you can be resposible for littering, the second the customer can accuse you of putting the damage there. This may not happen in your place but it certainly does over here. Now I know the post was about sticking cards on doors but the same may apply.

If you look back in history on the forum and search Coister you will find a wealth of knowledge on the sort of calling be described above. Do not forget that you are doing the customer a favour when you repair his windshield, you are saving him money, make them feel this way.

Never sell a repair to a stranger, make them a friend first. Do not know who posted that saying but it sure works.
