Re: re-appearing darkness

There are lights that mount on or around the bridge so the bulb circles the break. Although some of them are quite powerful it's important to understand that the injector is covering the center of the break so the UV light is being applied to indirectly, at least and the bulbs are farther away. Cure times need to be adjusted accordingly. One circular light we tested was actually very powerful when the bulb was placed directly over the break, but when used as intended the UV was far weaker than most standard lights that are applied directly over the break.

I've also seen technicians cure under pressure using a regular UV light, moving it several times to get a proper cure. A very time consuming process.

Of course when you finish you still need to apply pit resin and cure again, so I've been told that is when the repair is fully cured.

Keep in mind I do not cure under pressure so I am only passing on what I have learned from testing various UV lights and talking to technicians who have been trained to cure under pressure.
