I CANNOT WAIT ANYMORE

Post by VEECO »

These insurance networks are killing me! Alliance isn't accepting any new members until April. HSG needs garage keepers as well as general liability. I already have $1 million liabilty but the quotes that I have been getting for garage keepers with $500,000 liability is around $1000 per year. I am still waiting for SGN and Lynx approval. Should I just say forget it and deal with ACT? Does Alliance have any major Insurance companies on their list? I don't want to tell somebody I can do they repair for free and not be able to do it when the next guy could. Any advice is greatly appreciated this forum has helped me with so many things so far!

PS sorry for the rant ;)

Why are you getting such high coverages? $300,000 for Com. Liability is sufficient for the networks. Garage keepers is coverage for the vehicle while in your care and custody (like collision coverage)Just get whatever amount you feel needed to cover damage to a vehicle. I've had $30,000 for 15 years and have been a member of the networks from their inception. If I remember, I called each network I wanted to join and clarified the amount of coverage. Make sure if you do the same to tell them you are mobile windshield repair only (if that is the case).

Over here we have a huge market that is not insured, why not go for that one? Fleets, company vehicles, buses, etc.

There was a thread from about 1 year ago with great details on insurance coverage. Even if you decide not to play with the networks, I highly recommend the proper coverage for your protection. Depending what you are doing and what you are doing it on it could be a fatal financial blow if you are the cause of damage.

Wow,

I pay around $145.00 per year! We are with FM of NC!

That is really high, Id say thats Rape! Find another insurance company that can offer you a better rate.

As far as HSG! Honestly, I dont know much about your area but here. I havent had one job linking to HSG! I have never recieved a referral from them let alone any of the networks and have been on the netwroks for over a year or more!

Until you can get all your insurance squared away why dont you think about billing the client and in return have them submit the claim themselves to thiere insurance co.?

Just a thought!

Theres really NO way around submitting jobs to Insurance Company's, unless you do it directly or have the Customer pay you and then they submit to their Insurance Company themselves.

I paid around $360 for a $1 million policy thru RLI, and I'm on all of the networks and have been since 2006......

I will be switching to a different Co. in March, but this is who I currently use....

Just FYI......
