Based upon your posts you are missing a lot of essential steps when it comes to performing a successful windshield repair. For instance, attaching the inspection mirror and inspecting the damage. I always check the pit size and check for moisture and other contaminants (things aren't always as they appear). I would clean the pit with my probe/scribe and after the repair has been scraped I would lightly brush the debris away from the pit with a paper towel.
