Headlight repair

I bought the Delta HLR kit last week and am getting my ads ready to print. Can a crack or chip in a lens be repaired? I don't want to advertise something that I cant do. Thanks for your help. Jim

That is not what the HL restore kit does. If you would have looked at the videos they post before you would have bought, you would have known what is is for....
Just cleaning up the headlight film of the lens. PLASTIC style lights.... That is all...

What you are looking into sounds like fixing GLASS lenses


I just hate when someone does not follow through in their research before buying something to know what is can and can not do, or what is is made to do.

Thanks for the response, I think. I did read & watch all the videos. There is a lot to take in with both kits and trying to set up a marketing plane. I just thought I might have missed something. Again, thanks for your response. Jim

I think the Delta guys would be the best ones to answer your original question. They are the most familiar with their products and all aspects of H/L repair.

I have heard of technicians removing the headlight lenses and repairing it with resin. However, the headlight restoration system does not come with any supplies to fix cracks or chips in the headlight. We do not provide this service and if I encountered a customer with a cracked headlight I would recommend getting it replaced.

The guys at DELTA are not the only ones that can answer that question.

It is pretty much self explanatory on how it works. As Jeff already said he did look and see what its use was for. He just forgot to back track on what he saw.

It seems like it is to much for most to take in, when all you have to do is just take the time to read things over a few times till soaks in like an every day thing.

I call the the "newbie syndrome", there is to much to absorb at one time. It will pass in a short time with a few retail customers.

WOW....You are certainly full of yourself. It has become painfully apparent that fresh blood is needed in this biz to keep the crabby 'ol timers from tarnishing it's reputation any further by exuding a holy-er than thou attitude, and a "know it all" dimeaner that is most likely piled on high to the customer as well as fellow techs. Don't get me wrong...( I feel every ioda of everything said here needs total explaining)...most tech vets are very helpful and accepting of new comers....you need to lighten up however. Maybe this isn't the career for you. You can spit your abuse towards me if you like. I can chew it up and fire it back ten fold. HEY!!! and I'm a "newbie". Could probably work circles around you.So chear up lil buckaroo.....you're life is what you chose it to be....If I were you I would take a ong hard look at how you approach others,for your own sake.....you add to your own stress level and it greatly diminishes your quality of life. Just like I'm doing now. I read your first response to this post, then half expected you to explain or back peddle a lil bit on your harsh attitude,but no......you pile it on even thicker by insulting people who are looking to begin a new career...we need em....cause my experience tells me that people with attitudes of grandour tend to dissapoint people on a performance level. The industry needs great attitudes, work ethic, and networking skills to keep it from dying. Have a great day.

Wow! You came here asking a question right? He just gave an answer, probably not one you expected, but it sure is an answer.
And indeed, it's certainly not always all that exiting to see the same questions over and over again.
If you want help, that's fine, but your statement above won't be very helpfull.
