they are difficult at best if you have never had to remove them,, under the hood at the bottom of the molding is a large torx bolt, (dont remember size) most ive removed were loctite bonded, cheap metal and will strip so be sure to get the correct size, exact fitting long hardened steel torx bit and use it in a drill,, work up on the drill clutch setting (in reverse) and hopefully it will break loose,, if not you have to drill it out,, after you get the bolt out by anyother method you were successfull then the easy part,, yank the molding off,, i have used tools of all sorts to try to reach the door panel buttons that hold in on and its mind numbing by far,, the buttons run up the center of the molding and hold on for dear life,, I GET A HEAVY GRIP ON THE TOP CENTER ON THE MOLDING AND GIVE A FIRM SHORT YANK AND IT WILL LET LOOSE,,, dont try to rip it off the car all at once ,, a couple of firm short yanks will remove it,, now if somebody else has a better methode then im all ears,,, i have removed many of them and this seems to be the best way i have found,, i hope this will help,, and i always hope i am talking about the proper car you are asking about,, carglass
Yep, he's right. Just did one exactly like he said and it popped off no problem. Those Torx screws are a dumb idea. No need to take the little black piece off the outside bottom of the panel your working on. I did and now I have to double side tape them back on. Stupid.
