I actually sat down and considered what I believe I can make a month...that being 4k-6k a month estimated. My original idea was to offer 5% but that seemed high when I figured it out. So $200 for a spot that wasn't making him any money in the first place seemed like a good place to start...he didn't try to ask for more....plus people who are my captive for 20-30 minutes tend to wander into his store and buy stuff....seemed like a win win....so, $200 was my idea...I am still hoping someone with more experience than myself chimes in on that and shares thoughts on how much is too much to pay.

Yes, forum members will not have full use of all board features until "after" they have posted a minimum of 10 posts. Features that you will not be able to use until you have a minimum of 10 posts include, but are not limited to, private messaging, e-mailing, posting photos, and viewing photos. This helps avoid spam on the board and protects the privacy of windshield repair forum members, so running up your post count with illegitimate posts will not be tolerated and may result in a ban from the board.

Obviously I do not know your area but 35 mile each way for a repair seems a long way to me, how much would a cab cost to take you that far over here it would be about £70. Seems like a morning work for one repair, I would not say this is very viable over here, different horses for different courses I suppose.

I live 17 miles out of town so I work my jobs around my way in and my way back out of town. When I have a job out of town I will log it in as the first job of the day and just leave early to get them in at the time I would of with a local job, Get back in town if need be for the next job, if no calls at that time I will stop in on other places and see if there is any other work. Then back track in town. I go 35 miles to the next town only.
I do get a lot of my customers to come in and I will catch them as they are at their DR. appt. or shopping. As I tell them " they can shoot two birds with one stone this way" 90% are happy to come in town to shop. I will work around their time schedule. I make it a convention for them as possible.

I have some coming in from 50 plus miles away on a regular basis.

I think something may be somewhat amiss...

I have more than 10 posts and the little red message indicates that I am not authorized to review those posts. There must be some other criteria that blocks some of us.

Layne,
You are able to use of all board features. I am unsure what happened but it is good that everything is working fine now and that you are able to view the photos. If you encounter that issue again please private message, email me, or call into Delta Kits.
