Yep, the search feature of this forum works like a champ. You will also find additional information as you spend the time to do your own research. I typed in "tent" and found 825 listings!

A lot of the posts on the forum have been covered thoroughly and I would recommend reading through previous threads. There is a wealth of information contained within this forum; you just need to set aside some time to read through the previous topics.
You can use the search feature to save time finding things on the windshield repair forum. Sometimes I find the search button on the Delta Kits home page works better, although it will also bring up relevant items on the Delta Kits site. The search feature on the windshield repair forum site probably works just as well, but as the search feature on the Delta Kits website is Google powered so it is more familiar to most people.
below is a tutorial video illustrating how to search the windshield repair forum.

I agree with the others, there is PLENTY of info here on the forum for what you're looking for, but If I can be of any assistance to a fellow tech, I try when I can, so here is what I did to get started with a tent location:
#1. Purchase 2 or 3 Vinyl Banners with something easy to read, and include a phone number, not everyone has time to stop, so they may want to call you. You will also need to purchase a Canopy, you can pick up a decent and somewhat strong one from Wal-Mart for around $95 after taxes, and it's a 10'X10', with plenty of room for several large Banners. I also use bungy cords to put my signs up, and the really big & thick (thy look like HUGE nails) Tent stakes (Located in the camping supply section of Wal-Mart) to hold the Canopy in place.
#2. Spend a day or so driving around your town/area and figure out what street(s) have ALOT of traffic, but not fast traffic. You may also want to consider a decent side of town, I think it makes a difference.
#3. Once you find an area that you would like to setup your Tent Location, you need to find either a vacant lot, gas station, lube center, store, etc...and go inside and speak to the owner or Manager and ask them if you could setup, if they seem to hesitate, offer them a small percent of each repair, or a few bucks per job.
#4. Now that you have the spot, and all of the needed supplies, just setup and do your repairs!!!
#5. Make sure you have Invoices and plenty of Cards, you may also want to put a small brochure or flyer together for those that stop in, something for them to read while you're repairing, or if they decide tpo call you later, they will have it, and it will keep you fresh in their minds. On the flyer, just let the Customer know you're doing to thier Windshield, what they can do afterwards, and what they can do to prevent a Chip from Cracking out any further. Also include information about FREE Repairs (if you offer Insurance Repairs), Warranty information if you offer it, and Repair vs Replacement Facts......this always helps!
I included a pic below of my setup, this image is about 1 1/2 years old, I've changed it a bit, but it's pretty much the same.
Hope this info was helpful...

Re: How do I set up tent location for windshield repair?
Just curious, once you establish a location for the first time how many people should you be expecting to stop at your tent location on an average day? Just curious from those of you that have experience. Trying to find out what I can expect the first week or two I am set up.
Thanks,
Steve

Thank you for helpful reply. I've noticed that often new member are chastised for asking questions. Not saying that that happened here .The search feature is very helpful. Sometimes being a mentor mean answering the same question many times.
