scratch removal in the construction industry

Guys I am thinking of adding scratch removal to my arsenal.Have any of you guys tested the construction industry for business?Also,tell me what you guys think is the best system.My backgroung is construction.I am spoiled since I have been doing w/s repair for 5 years and have done really good.Scratch removal seem to be so much more work for the amount of money that you get.

To get an unbiased response I would check out You Tube by typing in Scratch removal. After viewing everything there you can start breaking what would suit your needs. I have also been looking at the same field.

I researched this before and really liked the Innovative Polishing Solutions. They have a super system however they do require purchasers to attend some intensive training. I'm all for training and liked the fact that they want to be sure that you are able to use the equipment correctly and get the results you desire.

I used a company based out of Stuart, Fla.until my back went out, but I had to go through his training before he will sell to you-the guy knows glass and plastic polishing! Look at high end house and commercial construction-there is good money there. I only called on car dealers @ $75-100 for a wiper scratch-about an hour. Now they can buy a windshield installed for $150.

I looked into IPS also, but the fact you have to fly to Florida for the training $$$$$, Hotel $$$$$, Loss of income for that time -$-$-$-$ (that is loss of dollars, I just made it up) On top of the purchase price. How much is that cost of unit now?.

I called them a while back and we spoke about another system on the market, and when I started to talk about the other system they besided it was time to hang up on the call... I was just questioning one to the other trying to compare them... I never got the the price of the system.

That part gave me a bad taste at that point...

I would still be intersted with more feedback.

Just Chippen Away: you must have been hitting an open wound.
They simply have a very good system, and many other systems out there are just a direct copy.
Copy cat suppliers have no ethics at all to just copy a very succesful and good working system -I would call that theft.
When you contact IPS, you should never mention GW, they have f2@#ed IPS extremely hard and unfair -in the MB days.
IPS used to privat label the ''GW System'' but stopped doing that many years ago, GW simply copied their system eversince.
There you are: just another of the many problems in our cowboy industry.

Like Bill, I have just started to look into Scratch Removal, and it seems to suit the construction industry more than windscreens from what I've learnt so far, but I stand to be corrected.
But it would be great to get more feedback on the Construction side of the business if anyone has any experience.
Also it would be interesting to hear more about the systems out there, as they all claim to be the best

I have had a very similar experience with IPS. They have a very interesting sales technique.

I tried to get info watching IPS's web, and I can say they sure are secretive about what they have and how it works. If I was going to buy a product I sure would like to see it working before I even think about committing to someones system.
It also seems that there system is the messiest I have been looking at.
I see LR has one on the market also. At least you can watch it working, IPS does not show many working videos, mainly still shots and alot of talk by reading the screen.

Every one says it is a good system, But I like to see for my self in action.
