Bass not treble

Post by screenman »

Now I know most of you will be using the vehicles speakers to help you with the resin flow on tighter breaks, the vibrations from the acoustics help the resin flow in quicker. However we have found by experimenting that by using slightly more bass than normal that this will also speed up the dry out procedure, again due to the vibrations. We suggest you do not go to loud as this can cause customer anxiety. If you would like to know more just ask away.

I have found the speaker vibrations work pretty well on most tight breaks, but after a tip off, I bought a cd by The Prodigy. The low base tones they use have exactly the right resonation frequency to maximise resin flow as well as giving me something to rave to while performing the repair.

I stopped using this technique years ago! It's was to unpredictable and was causing "crack-outs" JMO. so do what works for you.

Ok??

My experiance with this would be this. Just 1 week ago a customer of mine stopped in to have a real nasty crater repaired. I also noticed there was a small crack to the left of the void. This was a younger gentlemen and he definately liked his music. He liked it so much there were 4 15" woofers in his trunk countless highs inside and a few mids.

He continued to leave his radio on and was so excited about his system he crunk it up. I happened to take a look at the chip just waiting for something to happen when crack it happened. It shot out a crack about 8 inches. I truly feel like the bass from the music caused this to happen.

JMHO!

I just like to hum softly over my repairs before starting. It seems to relax me and the chip

To get the air out I play Tiny Bubbles by Don Ho. This is an advanced technique however, and should never be attempted by an a amateur.

I can see where these might all work pretty well! However, the best method I found for removing those stubborn air bubbles.....a taser gun. Just touch the glass next to your repair and presto, there gone! Must have something to do with the electric current? Just make sure you are in the vacuum cycle.

You guys make repair way to complicated. I learned long ago that if you just take the owners car back to the original place the damage happened and drive through the area in reverse, the damage will completely undo itself.

Oh yeah, you also have to play the music they were listening to at the time in reverse (just ignore the weird messages).

Good Luck!

These post are getting so far out of hand that I had to chime in. You guys are nuts! Just kidding! I found what works better than don ho and a taser and all these things is time don't rush the repair and the air will come out.
