Hello people,
I was checking the videos for repair the windshields and I would like to buy a complete kit to run it in my boddy shopp and mechanic shopp as I work also with insurance companies.
First off, what's the largest crack that I can expect to cure with out leaving any imperfect surface? Just an average crack size like 2-3 inches long? More?
Second, how much should longer the repair before it cracks again from the vibrations/sun/weather etc or it's permanent seal?
Third and lastly, once is repaired, it does really hide any imperfection, doesn't reflect any small debris/micro crack etc in the glass with the sun reflecting on it viewing it from certain angle? How about the night when the headlights of other cars reflects agains the repaired glass? Can be seen any imperfection there? Of corse keeping on mind that use follow the instructions carefully, cleaned the area well,a pllied the ultra violet light the tiem required, etc etc etc. Or these repairs usually leave some small kind of imperfection on the surface?
Thanks!
Noob want to buy the reapir kit but have few questions!

Hello Magnum,
You will most likely find various prefrences when dealing with these topics.
Length is a personal preference and you will find what your comfortable with. My company offers repairs up to 12" in length. Even at this length there are some cracks that I will not repair. This may be due to the damage being in the DPV (Driver Point of View).
Im not sure I understand this question? i will answer with my best. Quality Repairs performed by a Professional Technician who delivers Extreme Quality, Should look 85% better, Slighly Visible and Smooth to the touch. After completetion a Quality Repair will be "SOLID" there shouldn't and will not be any assumption the break or crack will spread. This is due to proper fillment, proper curing, as all of these will ensure a strong positive "BOND"
I believe this question was asked first. I would suggest the same as my first reply. Sunlight, Flashlight, Candlelight, Headlight's they all produce some sort of light! Therefore Yes! It's all the same. In certain angles light entering the "Repiared" crack may show reflections!
JMHO!

Almost all Chip, Stone & Crack Repairs done correctly can be completed with limited or little blemish' when completed. However, most repairs when completed may show in certain angles of Sunlight. Honestly before you can produce this "Quality" I would highly reccomend extensive research, training. It's not rocket science however there are various variables to consider.Magnum wrote:First off, what's the largest crack that I can expect to cure with out leaving any imperfect surface?

Try a search for your questions. Do a little leg work on your own and you find more information than you can possible absorb in one sitting.
No repair in invisible and do not let anyone tell you otherwise. If the glass is broken enough to warrant a repair it is broken enough to leave a scare.

Thanks for the answers. In some videos on youtube the bullseye/crack don't dissapear like in other videos...not sure if the tech is that good but it's OK is the repair cost cheap to make it worth.
