Re: props to Time2Shine
Wow! I was on the forum the same day this posted and didn't see it. I am lost for words as I never expected this. I will have to admit as a grown man I got a little choked up when I read the posts to this topic. I greatly appreciate each and every person that wrote a post here and those that think the same. I am truly grateful to be apart of such an incrediable forum and industry. To know that there are people out there that think this way about you and you have never met them is truly inspiring even in itself.
You know , when I went into business for myself I never had anyone to encourage me other than my immediate family. No one to turn to that knew what it was like to own or operate a company. I didn't start out with a high capital, wasn't raised from money and honestly had no other resources to turn to. I literally talked my wife's ear off everyday about nothing but business ( Yes she is a wonderful wife and truly a blessing). When I started my company not only did I not have anyone to turn to for advice or mentorship but My wife and I just had our second son, he was just 2 weeks old.
I was told from my current employer to remove my vehicle from there parking lot due to the fact it was lettered in graphics and felt it was a conflict of intrest. Well frankly this was my only transportation to work and I felt attacked as if someone was trying to take away something I held a high desire to do. 1 week later I walked into work and was told I no longer was needed! So, with faith and hard work I stepped out and pushed my company the best way I knew how.
Through alot of trial and error here I am 6 years later. Not to say it is always easy and still sometimes business isn't that great I keep my head up and have FAITH that everything will work out. Over the course of 6 years I have met and made some great friends. I have worked on and drove some incrediable vehicles, seen some things I didn't think I'd ever see and have had experiances I couldn't have imagined working the 9-5 grind that I worked from my last employer.
Didn't mean to get off task here or topic but as you can see this is why I encourage others as I do. I try to stay positive and assure people that no matter what is thrown at you, you can and will overcome it. There are so many resources out there today including this Awesome forum to help with those questions and concerns you may have regardless of the business type your in. It's people like Brent who make this difference. Truthfully today I have a gentlemen whom I have the oppurtunity to mentor with. He is in no way educated on anything my company offers he just has business smarts! Another I would like to give credit to that has helped me in this industry is Brent and Korey! Even though I have never met them in person they have been an inspiration to me and I coan't thank them enough!
Again, Thank you all for your kind words and I will continue to do my part on this forum as I have, That's to encourage each and everyone to accomplish their own goals and succeed! Seek out as much information and do the very best job you can! You may not see the difference you have made now but remember Time is the essence!
Take Care!
