Looks like Philly is getting some votes. Obviously I hope you guys make here since it is basically only an hour away from me. Maybe I will come make a guest appearance! Have your people check with my people. Seriously it would be great to see you guys especially if you would be this close.

A nice benifit beyond the training is that Philly is loaded with history to see!
I was amazed to see how beautifull Phily is! It indeed is a great city with a great history (your first capitol) and many nice old buildings with a very european touch (like Chicago).
We took the grand bus-city-tour. It was great!

Brent ! Will refresher training by Deltakits count toward the requirements needed to maintain our certification for NWRA? I need to go back and look up the information as to what is required on past NWRA corrrespondence.

I'm not 100% sure if any continuing training or education requirements are necessary with the NWRA at this time. I'm afraid you will have to contact them for the latest requirements or if you prefer I can have someone contact them to get the scoop.

Yeah, right!
Make them aware of a new way to make money.
As if you were leading yourself to the butcher or slaughter house, you should not have the attitude as if you were a cash-cow, ready for a new round to be milked.

I am against any form of certifications in our trade.
They are useless, they suck.
Instead I am preaching, for many years, a mandatory training.
Away with the silly DVD-Video-Online trainings. They do not work and do not offer any, I mean any, guarantee that people are using the tools and materials in the right manner. Any training SHOULD be hands-on, in a professional training facility. If a newbie does not want that training, the result should be: no tools, no materials. Find your stuff on ebay. Do NOT come back here before you have the means to be trained. It is VERY simple and can be done TODAY.
Any supplier, I mean ANY supplier, should agree with me. It is the only way to make sure that people have a proper kick-start. Suppliers should stop thinking in moving and shipping boxes and start to think about the future of our trade -and ACT.

If they don't and continue to flood our marketplace with newbies without a proper mandatoy training (just to be able to offer the product cheap ''or to be competitive'') they will help to steer our trade in a very bad situation. A situation where others, outsiders, will need to reshape the trade.
And that my dear fellow repairers, is something MOST of us just refuse to see, understand, let alone to agree with the idea. Unfortunately, too many people turn a blind eye. But when the outsiders are going to reshape our industry, and believe me, it WILL happen one day, it might be too late for many of us.
(I am not talking about Delta Kits specifically, I am talking about all suppliers).

Well Frank you are entitled to your opinion, but I happen to believe in freedom. Although I believe training is a great idea for all technicians it won't make all technicians do quality repairs, and there are some self technicians who will always do quality repairs, simply because they care. I believe that giving technicians options is far better than trying to force something down their throats with more rules and regulations. Unfortunately there will always be good technicians and bad technicians.

Corpus is an excellent choice. Do you have the specific date(s) and how many spots are available?

I'm getting ready to start up a WR business later this year, I guess this is a newbie question. Do you have to bring your own kit for the training class? I have been doing a lot of research and still have questions I will post in another area before I get my kit and get started. I know good training (and recurrent training) is paramount to stay on the leading edge of the industry.

We do not have specific dates for the Corpus Christi training class yet, but we will make an announcement when we do. Usually, there is enough room for any number of technicians to attend, as long as they sign up early enough for us to plan on having enough equipment sent and big enough room booked. You do not have to bring your own equipment, everything you need is provided by us. You just have to sign up and bring yourself.
