After Coat Applicators

How do you apply the Delta HL coating?
I don't see any type of applicator.

What appears to be the consensus on how long the Delta 2 part coating lasts?

We recommend you use the square edge of a lint free paper towel.

I have been giving a 2 year guarantee with our headlight restoration service (using DeltaKits of course). I've seen some on the market offering a 3 to 5 year guarantee but I am not familiar with those nor would I put much faith in them. Depending on the area you're located (sun, heat, weather) you may want to adjust this accordingly. I Ammon the Florida area and so far I have no issues with offering the 2 years.

Before finding out about this site and namely the Delta Kits which now, for efficiency's sake, am going to purchase, I got the idea to do HL but have gotten good at it only through long and painful trial and error. What this trial and error didn't provide me was a time-efficient way of completing the jobs and I have not ventured into (though I desperately need to) the ending laminate. I was going to use ClearStar products but for headlights, and their technicians seemed to think it would work. Now I am just looking for little hassle in connecting the "supplier dots" and yet still get the wow effect.
To Delta Kits and the community (in short):
1. Does the laminate, applied with a lint-free paper towel, really hold up for years and stack up against a spray-on clear coat? or at least suffice, maybe not in longevity, but in look? --the need for this is great and a main point brought up by dealerships looking to contract my services IF I can provide this one promise.
2. And secondly, having already accumulated many products (sanding disks of varying grits, drills, buffer and corresponding pads), can I check off things from the kit that I would need, while not buying what I don't??

This is much appreciated and long delayed, the finding of a community which, little to my knowledge, is doing the same exact thing nation-wide! I look forward to putting up pics from the dealerships I will service, and sharing and contributing to the pool of knowledge I see growing every day! Thank you in advance,

Daniel

The "wow" factor is there with Delta. The longevity will vary but in my area it holds well for 12-16 months.

Finally, the last question I could possible think of before buying this product is: does this product have a guarantee if the customer (being myself mainly, as I can tell better than my customers what is a good product) is not satisfied? A full or partial money-back guarantee?

As already mentioned, there are a lot of variables when considering how long a coating will last, including how well the lens was prepped and the coating was applied, vehicle care, weather and other environmental conditions. We used to offer a 3 year warranty and as far as I know we did not receive any complaints, but we have noticed that under certain conditions the coating may begin to show signs of discoloration in as little as 12 months, so we now offer a 12 month warranty to our service customers, with an optional extended warranty (up to 3 years) if they bring the car back for an annual service that we offer at a reduced rate. Sometimes the service requires nothing more than a good clean and polish, but if we see signs of discoloration or deterioration we will do a complete restoration.

Yes you can buy all of the parts in our systems separately, however results may vary if you do not use the products we recommend and follow our recommended procedures. That said, we do have customers who only buy coating from us and nothing else so I'm confident that you will be pleased with the results.

As Korey said, we offer you a 30 day money back guarantee if you don't feel you get the "wow" factor you are looking for, however we cannot warranty the work you do on a customer's car because we have no way to monitor or control your application process to make sure you are following our recommended procedures or using our recommended products. You have to decide what kind of warranty you will offer your customers.
