No. We most likely get paid differently in different area's of the country... We normally do not talk dollars on line..

Our Glass:
The way I read your question is:
Are there any differences between what Safelite, Harmon etc. are getting (for the same work) and what we (small vendors) are getting?
(so, not from state to state, but per job in any state, between the vendors)
Over here in Europe it does indeed happen, it varies greatly from one to the other vendor. Mostly Safelite (Belron =Safelite) gets more.
Good question. It should make one think eh. I guess the answer to this very basic question will lead to many more new questions.

Re: does insurance pay everyone the same amount?
a well know company made a repair recently on my brothers vehicle and the fee shown was $129 for the ins company. The same ins company paid me a few months back more than 40% LESS for a similar repair. What they actually got and what the reciept indicated may be different, but i only know what I saw. I've seen replacements in this area for $20- $40 more depending on type of Vehicle, by another well known national glass company that I refer customers to.

For repair only, small vendors all get the same rates for the same area. On replacement, paid rates differ by territory. (A,B,C,D} "A" being the most populated and "D" being the least populated. "D" market area is paid the highest. Our Glass wrote:im saying is do some small vendors make more or less than other for the same insurance company and the same amout per repair
Safelite does get paid more on repairs then us because they offer many of the insurance companies GAI (Guaranteed Average Invoice) price. Not sure if they are also collecting the difference for every one of our billed repairs? (i.e.$129-$60=$69) Maybe somebody on here knows that answer.
