I usually hear it called a referral number - It's the number that is submitted to the insurance companies for payment.

Thanks .. but who call it referral number ?

I asked for a claim No. they gave me one I faxed my invoice then my client called me and told me he received a check of my payment !! !!
is it my mistake or what should I ask for Referral or Claim or what ?

Also I am not a member yet in any group so do they give different Nos ? for whom out of the group ?

Thanks

Harmon network (Service Center Order #)
Safetlite network (Referral #)
Lynx network (Dispatch #)

As far as check being mailed to customer, you may have used customers reference number (which is different from a shop assignment number) Make sure your using the correct claim # when submitting bill.

If they say "Claim Number" you should ALWAYS ask for something more such as a refferal number. Claim numbers always refer to their internal documents for the repair!
