FGinally, Away from ACT!

Post by GLASSTIME »

OK. So we finally ended our relationship with ACT. The ironic thing is within an hour of severing I get a Call from Lynx to do a Dispatch!!!

I was floored!

How........coincedental...eh?

Been with them for over 2 to 3 years now and First Dispatch ever recieved!

Here's the Kicker! THe company that was originally dispatched this WO never showed up at the customers home nor did the customer get a call... When I came through for the customer I just felt I earned several hundreds of Brownie Points!

Not to mention....THis company is a very, very large figure in our industry!

Why did it take you 2 years, was there a contract involved? Who are you using now?

I received only 2 calls from Lynx all last year. The calls were both in December. The dispatches were not profitable at all. Traffic, drive time, and the time to repair the glass due to the extent of the damage, all made it a loss for me.

Contract????/ They call it that , Yet it's unbinding! I'm almost certain it is. Ummm, Timing! That's all I have to say to that! It was the right time!
I'm not using NO ONE! I'm back to "Old School" for the time being! Faxing them in myself only takes a few and the great thing is I load my fax with all of WO and hit send. Walk away!

Of course with SGC, Those are all submitted via their website!

When you use ACT, they place you up under their Umbrella or better yet there ID!
Any communications with you and or the Networks goes through them. It's best to find a company that doesn't do that.....If 3rd party EDI billing is something your looking into. I believe IBS don't! You keep and have access to everything, they just submit them for you. Brent or Korey can get their info iver to you and you can or anyone for that matter can contact them with questions.

Getting re-established with the Networks hasn't been cake and ice cream but it hasn't been a jungle either! So!

If your with ACT on this one here! You may want to INVESTIGATE!

Have a great day! ;)

Im still a huge ACT fan I have asked to removed from any referals I find they are always a long drive and often you get there to find a cracked windshield Some folks want referals and thats understandable I really dont think the fact that you use a billing company has anything to do with how many referals you get if safelite has a local office you can bet they get the lions share in your area the guys who counts on referals to make a living will be pretty damn hungry go out find you own work is my motto

No YOU will have to resubmit to some of them just as I did today with Travelers. Also,if you have been with ACT and leave them and you want bill on Safelites website you will have to rejoin the network.I use ACT for all my lynx but would like to bill my own Safelite claims.Even though I have a shop # with Safelite they still don't recognize it on their website so I am assuming that #belongs to ACT.I guess in a sense ACT is registered with you as comember.
