Is severe winter weather hurting your business?

Post by clearquest »

Just curious about how this winter weather is effecting your business. We lost nearly a full week due to blizzard and another storm is coming! Hoping to be swamped after all this crud passes but it sure sucks right now!

Weather affects everything including our business. "This too shall pass".

Hurting? you say hurting? how about killing?
Since losing some major fleet accounts this past year to price pirates, it's not working out well for the retail market when we've had such bad weather for the 6 weeks. My revenue is down 80%.
Lesson for all especially newbies is to work your tail off when the weather is good so you will have savings to fall back on when things beyond your control prevent you from being productive! Living off credit cards is madness!

Yes, down about 50-60%. We've had a mid week snow storm for the past 7 weeks. It'll snow one day (all day) than everyone is cleaning up the following day! What also does not help is the little 1-3 inch snow falls in between. A lot of folks having problems with ice build-up causing roof leaks and collapsing. Last year I was able to golf the last week in March. NOT gonna happen this year!
