Re: Ding King
How are we supposed to know what's right for you?
Are you repairing ''dings'' in the sheet metal (PDR) or in glass?
I mean....what is your business? That would normaly be one of the very first things to tell your audience before asking that specific question. I remember DingKing being a GM stuff user in the past, from what I noticed when I checked out their website today, they stopped using GM.
Last but not least; I for one cannot comment on their training, I wasn't trained there. Goodluck, whatever your business is.

Re: Ding King
Difficult to say, what did they teach you? Dryout, UV protection, long crack repair, etc. etc.
Re: Ding King
Sorry guess I could of given more detail. Im starting my own windshield repair business and I took a course in repairing windshields. Ive been doing work on family cars for the practice and everything seems to turn out good. When I applied for Lynx I was denied, and im still waiting for SGCnetworks. I dont think I need any training but im still new so I dont really know what I need to know or what I need to get a business started. Im just winging everything and trying to build a business.

Re: Ding King
Thanks for the details, I cannot think of one reason why you wouldn't be trained properly, what makes you wonder? Did they take you outside the comfy environment? More specific: did you do work outside the classroom where you were exposed to the elements /the REAL world? (many classrooms don't!).
The fact that (some) networks denied you has nothing to do with your training. Do not panic, continue what you are doing, pracktise a lot, wet your ''damages'' and dry them out, create a crack-out while you repair and fix it etc. Perform a few repairs outside, just for pracktise purposes, ''forget'' to use your UV screen and be amazed as to how quickly you ruin your work -it is a valuable lesson. Become confident in using a drill, no harm done on your pracktise windshield.
Keep on going, you will be fine. As for the networks: that subject is coverred elsewhere on this forum, please do a search and you will find lots of information. Goodluck.

There is a wealth of knowledge right here on this very forum. Just use the Search feature top right of the page. Also, training never stops and you never learn everythin just like that. To perfect your craft you will always need to be up on the "GAME" in order to be competitve. When I say "Competetive I mean that your repairs stand out from your competition in Quality!
Head on over to Delta Kits website by clicking their logo (Top Left) and watch the informational videos........
