Safelite network
I had to drop ACT to be even considered for the network.Have any of you went through this process and got on the network?I have a big insurance company that suggest that I get on the network to make life easier for them when they call a job for me.You all know what the safelite operators put you and the customer through.I have learned to deal with it over the years but it seems like it is getting harder everyday.I had a safelite job that took me a week to get straighten out after the operator obvisouly lied and dispatched to there selfs. Thanks for your help guys!

Bill, unfortunately, that's how Safelite works. You'll have to jump through hoops to get things authorized but that is how it is.bill lambeth wrote:I had to drop ACT to be even considered for the network.Have any of you went through this process and got on the network?I have a big insurance company that suggest that I get on the network to make life easier for them when they call a job for me.You all know what the safelite operators put you and the customer through.I have learned to deal with it over the years but it seems like it is getting harder everyday.I had a safelite job that took me a week to get straighten out after the operator obvisouly lied and dispatched to there selfs. Thanks for your help guys!

Re: Safelite network
I have not had this happen yet. ACT does my billing for insurance and I have not had any problems. I will post if this happens to me, sorry for your hardship.

Re: Safelite network
Really doesn't have much to do with Quick Fix or Act. If your operating in a area where Safelite has a main hub, you'll find they'll fight for every job in that area. I haven't been denied jobs by customers asking to use my company but commonly had referral request by them to service 35-50 miles out, which I decline. They prefer not to service these lower profit areas but will expect you too.WW973 wrote:Yea i havent had any problems and i go through quick fixx

Re: Safelite network
i have not been denied but i would not be accepted into their network until i quit using act.The customer has the right to use who they wish.It was explain to me by safelite that they cannot monitor the quality of the work with the billing being under ACT.They said that ACT was letting anybody on and do repairs without checking them out. There is a difference in being on the network and being a shop.I would like to here from someone that is on the network and how does their phone conversations differ when they do a safelite job.My are a pain in the but and I dread every time I do one.Let me just say I have been in this business for 6 years and safelite jobs get harder to deal with everyday.

Re: Safelite network
Bill, if you have a large insurance company willing to send you work daily and suggest that you not use ACT and network through Safelite directly, I would do so. If you set up for EFT payments and online billing through Safelite, you'll pay no additional charges. Safelite does occasionally delay authorizations and many times eat up time on phone for claims but that's just how they operate. I guess it's pay ACT for convenience or process it "free" through Safelite for the extra inconvenience.bill lambeth wrote:i have not been denied but i would not be accepted into their network until i quit using act.The customer has the right to use who they wish.It was explain to me by safelite that they cannot monitor the quality of the work with the billing being under ACT.They said that ACT was letting anybody on and do repairs without checking them out.
