Well if that is something you guys feel is necessary, then perhaps I am going to buy one of those bubble domes. This UV shield I have with the four suction cups is very cumbersome to use.

The BubbleDome is cumbersome also, but I use it almost on every job after sunrise and before sunset. I know it has saved me alot of frustration. I tend to schedule to do long cracks in a garage or after sunset.

I have written this so many times and here goes again. Take small blob of pitfill place tab over the top and wait a minute, even on the most cloudy overcast a day and with the car in the shade the pit fill will thicken and set. So imagine what it is doing to that nice thin resin you are trying to get to flow up the crack, solids do not flow well.

Do not give up on cracks master them and become a top tech, your income will be better for it.

]It's funny though, when I worked for Novus over 20 years ago (damned, that makes me sound old), we did repairs right out in the blazing sun with no UV protection.....

When I was with Novus 23 years ago I always used UV protection, it was banged into us in training.

You could use a practice shield all day and be a master on it but when it comes to a shield that is in the car may have you pulling your hair out....

There is no stress on a practice windshield sitting in your garage.
In the field, every chip is different. I see a lot of side by side/connected chips.

I find when its hot if you fill the chip and cure then go back and drill and fill the remaining legs things dont go pop things are pretty brittle when hot and 100 deg outside gives about 170 deg glass surface maybe more my IR thermometer stops at 170 lol got to make things stable before you get creative
