Has Anyone bought this tool yet. I dont see the Dimensions Length wise? Looks cool better than an umbrella. Who has one?

I have one and I like it, still experimenting as to what else I can use it for. Great for when you do cracks as it means you do not have to press the light onto the glass in the broken area.

Screen have you used the uv protector?That looks like something that I would like.I cannot tell how it is made.it looks flat in the picture.

It is flat and I have not used it yet, each repair I have done recently has been inside.

The flexible extension arm is about 10 inches in length.

Korey I love the idea but can you get uv in from the sides?I have been using towels for 6 years and would like something more professional looking and easy to use.Windy days can be tough for towels then I have to use rubber bands.

Nice concept, but UV bounce needs to be reckoned with. I'll stick with tried and true yellow flexible cover with 4 suction cups.

UV can come in from the sides but we've done quite a bit of testing and if you keep the shield close to the bridge and position it so the bracket is facing the direct sunlight the amount of reflected UV is about the same as with the flexible UV shields we've been selling for years. Depending on the towels you use they may not block 100% of the UV light either. Korey told me that once and I thought he was crazy but he proved it to me.

Some technicians believe that no UV is acceptable. If that is your belief this is not the tool for you, however we have found it works very well for the intended purpose and unlike injector mounted UV shields, towels and even flexible uv shields, it is easy to position out of the way so you can see and manipulate the repair as necessary.

Bill, On windy day I use 1" suction cups with spring clips on them. You can buy then at any department store... They hold my shop towel down verry well and keep the UV out. $1.99 for a pair.. and takes up way less room.

Just to say I used the UV tool today in tests outside and found no problems doing a 2 inch 8 leg starbreak. Far easier to use than any other UV shield I have owned.
