Pommy, I am not going to waste my time on a DELTA site preaching what GT does compare to Delta. Been down that road here before under different names. I have gottten to the point not to say why I or others do like one over the other...

Brent and I have gone head to head a few times on this already.

Sometimes it is not the injector (system), it is the opperater. Not being trained or just not trainable at all. Just because you have a kit does not mean you know what you are doing or any good...

I think I would prefer the original Delta Bridge....The 2 leveling leg/screws allow the barrel seal to be adjusted evenly over the break on part of the windshield that is curved.

Fair enough mate ;)

Was just seeing if I was missing anything - if you read the header of this site - it says "regardless of manufacturer", even though Delta may host it.

That's why I like this forum ;)

I see where you're coming from...

It's s bit negative though don't you think?

Some may say the site is for spying, keep your friends close, and your enemies closer etc.

Some may think it's to promote Delta and people who say otherwise mysteriously vanish off the forum.

Me - I don't care about any of that.

I come here to share ideas, it helps others out - and, when I have a problem, people return the favor. It works.

There's no doubt Brent will defend his product, but who wouldn't?

I've had a few PM's with Brent about certain things I've said, or we didn't agree on, and we've talked it out. Best to keep that off the threads, so PM's were used.

I really did want to know why you prefer a different bridge to the one I use - because I'm always interested in people's opinions and experiences.

I like to achieve something everyday - if it's getting help, or helping someone - it's all good ;)

Have a great day ;)

Pommy

The number ONE thing I do not like about the Delta and the QT is you have to clean them totally when you put them away, If you have any resin in the Delta spring, it could make it worthless. Either drop them both in De / alc or air them out....
GT Spectrum, remove the Chamber o'ring, shop towel clean in that chamber,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, DONE,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, NEXT.

At my altitude 4000 - 5000 ft, 17 - 20 inch/ merc vac..., Inject 20 - 35 pressure average is what I do. one to three cycles... DONE.... 95 - 99.999% filled and visibly allmost gone, No Lami scar left behind...

I bought the DELTA just to see what it can or can not do verses GT Spectrum.... Hands down GT wins... I even take a week at a time of fleet cars just with the Delta... Figured as long as they were not my retails customers, it could not hurt.... AGAIN. "To each is own" I keep trying but can not sell myself to it...

I have used NOVUS, Delta, GT VP 5000, GT Hotshot, and now GT spectrum, and LR QT just for Vert and Cracks.
The VP 5000 is like your Maxim. I liked it just my shoulders are shot from a wrench and lifting the VP compressor box for over 10 yrs onto trucks and cars..

I also use the GT spectrum and love it. The side chamber is boss and doesn't require a lot of setup and the leveling screws allow you to even up the barrel on most curved glass. It also doesn't require a vac pump which I also like. It is just a simplistic (and unique) version of the windshield repair injector.

When I was searching for an injector, I looked at delta and others which to me seemed overly complicated. But I suppose it is what you get used to. However I would highly recommend glass technology's spectrum injector. It takes some practice to get dialed in with it, but once you do, you'll be glad you have that injector in your tool kit.

I am just being curous and by no way nocking it.I would like to know more about the side chamber that you refer too as the boss. Please dont be affended because I know that Glass Tech is a good company.

Been using the QT for 8 years and i can asure you that you DONT have to clean them everyday.I clean mine once a week.I think it has a lot to do with how much exposure they recieve when not being used.
