What van are you going to work on? I might have some tips for you if I know what vehicle...
Use the white polish until you are pretty happy with how it looks... any yellow color gone, etc... The first step is always the most work.
If you can't get the crap polished out with this, then find some 1500 or 2000 grit paper, soak it good and wet sand the bad areas. Then start over with the polish again.
Then it won't take much for the next polish to bring it to a nice gloss.
The plastic shine spray really gives the lens a nice wet glossy look, but it doesn't last a long time. You can always give it a quick shine whenever though.
