I too am an ACT member and I had to respond to your comment Glass Starz. "have never had a customer talk to them for more than 15min " I must have been lucky I had a couple of claims that took over twenty min each!! They are usually only 5 or 10 min each, I asked the person on the phone at Act what the deal was and they said they had difficulty contacting the adjuster. Both times happened the same day so I believe what I was told is probably accurate. I'm glad I got a jump box so I can charge my phone between calls. Scott
My best mentor one said " be fair with your priceing but never too low, be honest with your customer/competition, when the day is done be sure you have done "good works", and always leave something of value on the barganing table!!

While my friend and trainer/ mentor Ray has moved on, his words live.

Thanks to everyone for your inputs. I have now narrowed the field down to 2 companies and those being Delta Kits & US Windshield Repair. Both seem to be good as far as equipment and support. So far what I do like most about US Windshield Repair in the One on One training (you and the owner only.) Any more inputs will be appreciated. Thanks to all once again.

downsra, I'm glad you eliminated WD. Their bridge is crap; very unstable & causes the injector to leak. I traded two of their bridges to Delta quite a while ago. Really great folks @ US Windshield Repair, however, unless there has been a recent change, they are using aluminum injectors. Aluminum doesn't like acid, even acrylic acid. As for the one on one training; just finished Delta's factory training with a room full of WSR techs & came away feeling as though the training was "one on one". We not only got the owner, but his "A team" as well (even got the Coitster as a bonus). A very hands on bunch with a wealth of real world information. Just my opinion, but save yourself some hassles, get the stuff that really works, get Delta! As for things you won't use being in the kit, they've eliminated all that. I just bought another kit @ the factory training class in Austin (EZK-121, 12 volt system) & every piece of equipment is necessary. When people say the equipment is too expensive, I have to think about my experience of buying truck repair tools since the mid 70's from Mac & Snap-on. Now those are some expensive tools, but I've always believed I was buying exceptional quality & the warranty. With Delta you are getting exceptional quality & the warranty, but in addition these guys teach you how to use your tools & moreover will gladly walk you through any problems you encounter, one on one, FOR FREE! Welcome to the forum & welcome to the business of WSR.

Windshield Doctor now has a stainless steel injector--works good, never had a problem with leaking. The only thing I didn't like was that you didn't have any way to level it, other than just changing the position on the windshield.

autocosmetics, I made no reference to WD having an aluminum injector. My comment was about my experience with their bridge. The injector I was referring to was from US Windshield Repair & they may or may not still use that design, haven't been at their website in some time.

Ridge Runner, sorry I misread. W.D. used to have aluminum too. US must still have aluminum, their website says that "stainless steel adversely effects the resin due to temperature changes." I've used both aluminum and stainless steel, and s.s. did a better job for me. But honestly I've had my best results with Esprit's plastic injector and resin.

WD has a lifetime guarantee it will be wobbly and leak suction cup wont hold the weight of the injector on verticle glass and because of the weight issues you dont get a good seal so the suction is weak as well guaranteed! sorry but after using a couple good injectors I would never go back to the WD maybe if thats all you have used and dont know any better you would like it? (kinda like fat girls)

Thanks again for everyone's input. I'm still a little stuck on either going with Delta or US Windshield. Just waiting to get the info packet from Delta. They both seem really good on equipment , Resin, training and support. Is there any other company to go with for Insurance filling besides ACT? They seem a little steep to me at $15.00 a claim. With you guy's help I'm sure I get things figured out. All I have so far is a business name and a logo. Getting there I guess!! Thanks again to all!!!
