I was just thinking that it would be real helpful to all if we could post which brand or wsr tools we use and how many years of experence we have in the personal info section that is shown when we post. This way when we see a question by a member a quick assesment can be made based on what we know and are using to do the job. Alot of times when I read a post these things would be helpful to know in advance.

OK, CPR.

I use superglue injected with a hypodermic needle.

Doesn't look good but it's quick. REALLY quick!

The replacement company that trained me originally last month had me applying the glue with my right forefinger.

(The same one I ordinarilly use to inspect the deep recesses of my nasal passages.)

I then buff the repair with Turtle Wax.

But, my third day on the job, I didn't release my forefinger in time and was stuck to the windshield by one digit and the customer was late to work until a quart of lacquer thinner was applied and he proceeded to his profession. (He works for Ace Hardware pushing $8 windshield repair kits but isn't sold enough to use one himself.)

Anyway, that's why I use the hypo now instead of just my forefinger. Not to mention my forefinger looks like I dipped it in driveway cleaning acid.

My advice is to squeeze the glue toward the direction of the damage while turning your head aside in order to preclude blindness from splatter and bad aim or ignorance of trajectory and angle, rush over and wipe any excess off the hood before it eats into the engine block and begins to chomp valves, rings, and pistons until it eventually undermines the main bearings.

That's my two cents worth.

Hope it helps.

Sounds like you may have stuck yourself with that needle a few too many times. ](*,)

Personaly I just waive my hand over the chip and say abra cadabra and walla the chip disapears from our reality. If that doesn't work I jump on top of the car with a sledge hammer and start working the chip from the top with a relitivly strong overhand swing, and I have found that if I hit the chip just right with this motion that I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Since the door has been opened ....

I place a chipsaver over the chip and give the customer the card with 5 remaining chipsavers. When they run out of chipsavers I make another trip and charge another $50.00 for a new card of 6 chipsavers;)

Let's either answer CPR's question, tell him why you don't want to, or not post in this thread.

He's almost up to 100 posts, doesn't he deserve an answer? ;)

Also, since it's loosely related, I want to remind everyone about the profile section that everyone who is a member has. I've seen quite a few members who don't fill that out. While I would love to see them all filled out, can we at least get a city & state from you guys?

Thanks!
