Moisture Evaporator?

Post by Auto Glass Rescue »

Delta Kits, has there been any thought of the Moisture Evaporator having a toggle switch, and not a push button? Thanks and keep up the great work!!

Doubtful that we will make one with a constant on option since the tool is designed to be used for only 20 seconds at a time. For drying long cracks a variable temperature heat gun is a better option in my opinion, although care must be exercised to minimize the possibility of damaging the glass or the vehicle. For warming a large area of glass I prefer to use a hair dryer from the outside of the glass, although a variable temperature heat gun may also be used for that purpose. What I have always liked about the moisture evaporator is that if I follow the instructions it takes the guess work out of drying out typical windshield damage.

If there was enough demand for a momentary on toggle switch we might consider that but to the best of my knowledge we haven't had a lot of people request it. Are you having problems with the push button? If so, please give us a call and so we can get the issue resolved.

You don't need a toggle switch on the moisture evaporator.
Suppose you forget to turn it off?
It would overheat and burn out or melt.

I actually kind of like this idea. It seems that the DryStar takes a while to warm up to a glow. Once it does, sometimes the angle is awkward to hold the button and apply it to the glass... I like the suggestion of this as an option.
