Just wondering how you guys plan where you will be working each day?Do you just jump in your vehical and go where ever you want or do you plan a certain section of town each day and stick to it? I tend to give up on certain areas to easy and say to myself I no a different place to try well somtimes that place isent any better. I don't think jumping all over the place is very effective. Just curious how everyone handels this.
Oh boy, I get to use an old cliche \:D/
"If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail!"
Actually, I don't give up too easily when working a specific area. I do keep notes in a log as to where I've been, when and what results. If I am having a "bad" day, I take the time to call a few customers that I had serviced within the past few months to ask how their repair is holding up;) Amazing how every few of these calls, I get a, "I was just thinking about you. I've got a friend with a chip ....."
But, to answer your question, before I hop in the truck and start burning diesel fuel at 15MPG, I not only have a plan as to where I am going to go, but I set some specific goals (i.e. visit 20 businesses, find 10 damaged windshields and speak to the vehicle owner for each, etc...). This helps to keep me on track as I can not "give up" until I've at least met my personal goals.
