Hey there Independent Windshield Repair Companies do you care that Lynx is sending work to the NOVUS/SUPPER-GLASS franchises???? We have as much right to do work with Lynx as the Franchise, We started our Independent Windshield Repair BusIness from nothing were the Franchise pays a fee and are handed a network on a plate ? To me LYNX are very un faire in using a Franchise over a INDEPENDENT WINDSHIELD REPAIR SHOPS????

Im sure dealing with one group who in theory is trained and can provide a consistant quality is easier than signing a bunch of people you dont really know that much about. They would have to investigate each person for quality and training Which would make the most sense to you?

Re: NOVUS/SUPPER-GLASS doing work with Lynx
I don't see the point.
In my opinion it is understandable to select a franchised network and its franchisees over a so called local independent vendor.
And that is for obvious reasons, some were already mentioned above -such as training, quality etc.
Why is it that so many folks appear to be so hostile when it comes to franchise?
Superglass, for example, is a great franchise with professional people, proper training and good support.

Do you Independent Windshield Repair Shops get it?? LYNX is discriminating the Independent Windshield Repair shops in doing work and they are using the Franchise Shops ie NOVUS/SUPPER-GLASS in there NETWORK You Independent Windshield Guys are loosing work $$$$$$ to the FRANCHISES Windshield Repair Companys As I stated before if you go on the LYNX WEBSITE ie MATRIX there is a box that asks you if you are a FRANCHISE SHOP?????. Here in MASS if you do work for Insurance Companys you have to have a RS# REGISTERD SHOP in Mass ie I have a RS# I have a NOVUS & SUPPER-GLASS in the area and I am on the LYNX NETWORK--- I am not getting any work via LYNX -The Gerber Network uses the same LYNX/MARTRIX webpage and I get work from them ????? Its a pity we cannot get all get the Independent Windshield Repair shop owners to club together and make a point to LYNX on our behalf

Coming form a shop that dropped a franchise, and went indepent they do send work to other company's that have a preferred status. Same people, same work as before but job rate has dropped. Your range can boost the number of jobs you get, break even or lose on a few jobs to get more.

All Customers have the right to do buisness with whoever they want if they are your customer and you handle it correctly they dont get moved elsewhere (Much) If they are a customer of the ins company who called in a claim. They get sent to the company who has solicited the insurance company ,worked out some sort of deal to give them good covererage at a good price and consistant quality ( in theory) why would they send them to you instead? Part of being an independent is you dont have to answer to the big companies (A Plus) the Negative is you dont get the big deals that come from being part of a Big group hey thats America. Its like argueing why does supplier A sell Wallmart the same product for 20%(or more) less than they do the small store owner? Volume
The Insurance companies owe you nothing and you have no given rights to any of thier buisness. Fortunatly once you learn how you can get them to pay you but once again I must stree they have no obligation to you what so ever. Not sure why people get so worked up about this there is plenty of work out there

Hey Big Welshman,
First you asked the question, then you answered it yourself then you railed against your own answer, which is very wrong.
SuperGlass gets practically nothing from Lynx. We get some from Gerber that is dispatched from Lynx but, not much. Lynx is pretty much a dead issue for us.
So, quit pointing the finger at SuperGlass for your imagined scenarios. Or anything else. We fix windshields just like you and don't replace so get off our back. Also, it's not like working for the NWRA gets you any points, it costs time and money and we do it only to protect and better the industry. So get off that conspiracy theory too.
Frank, thank you for your supportive words and open minded insight.
