This isnt pointed at the Welshman just a general statement. I for one dont get the "Why Dont They Send Me Any Work" Mentality They are a seperate buisness from you they dont owe you a thing and the Cry Babys who cant seem to find thier own work, Somehow these folks feel they are being shorted because they are not getting any free stuff its pretty funny. Get a grip go out and find some customers. If you choose to be a Independent you lose some things. At the same time you get to be your own Man (or Woman) dont have to answer to anyone and do things the way you want. Choose which one you want to be and quit whining about the other side being greener  Own a Car Repair Shop? do ya cry that you dont get any dealership new car warranty work? of course not you have to be a authorised franchise. its the same thing

Thanks for the reply Big Welshman. All is cool here and you are right about the fact that we are all in this together. "We didn't come over on the same ship but, we are all in the same boat" :)

One pretty big difference in SuperGlass and Novus is that they have become a repair-replacement company. Replacement is now pretty common in their company, not that there's anything wrong with replacing but, it does add the conflict of interest over repair-only. SuperGlass has three Franchises that replace and we require that they do it under a different name and keep it separate from SuperGlass in name and activity.

Franchises and Franchisees aren't bad. It is just a situation where a person wants to accelerate their learning curve and marketing results. There is a benefit, you see it here on this forum, to having 280 minds contributing to the good of a group. We have plenty of creative and smart Franchisees that help make the product better, the tools better and the company better. I like this way of business but, I also liked communes in the 60's ')

Just as a source of pride, we have had 33 Franchisees pass One Million in repair sales, 9 have passed Two Million in repair Sales and 1 has passed 3 Million in repair Sales. I expect the 33 in our Million Dollar Club will rise to 50 this year. That's what, and who, it's all about. Windshield Repairers making money and being proud of who they are and what they do. I love the business and I love our Franchisees!

Thanks again for your feedback and your reply. - David Casey

Hey Big Welshman,
We really don't get any significant volume from Lynx. We used to do a lot of Allstate through Lynx but that ended when Safelite took them over. We might get an average of one job per month, per Franchise across the country. It's pretty much a joke.

I don't think that repair is high on the network priority. Glass business is tough these days and replacement companies are scrambling for every replacement.

I do not consider Lynx to be repair friendly but, I also don't see steering from them when the customer requests a particular company.

Hopefully, their insurance customers will eventually see what an acceptable repair ratio is and see that they are staying way below that with the Lynx dispatch system. If they care about repairing more they can adjust the system I'm sure.

Thank you for your reply Dave of Supper-Glass. I think any Insurance Company that uses the LYNX Network there Repair ratio will go down because LYNX uses a Glass Shop that does Windshield Chip Repair & Replacements. A Insurance Company would be better off to use Network like--GERBER-HARMON- QUICK FIXX Any required WINDSHIELD CHIP REPAIRS that go to these networks would be sent to a Windshield Chip Repair Shop only 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)
