Safety first. Trust your feminine intuition. If a situation doesnt 'feel' right, dont stay in it. I am lots older than your daughter, and even so, there are times when I am very uncomfortable. I went to do a repair for a fella whose wife wasnt home when I got there, and he seemed too anxious for me to come inside to use the phone, when I couldnt get a clear signal with my cell phone. (It was more than just being gracious).as far So I told him I was late for my next appointment, and that we could complete the insurance via conference call later that day. It wasnt anything he actually said... it was just a creepy feeling I had about being alone with him. Maybe there wasnt any real danger, but I wasnt willing to take the risk.
As far as the work goes. I think women generally speaking, have the clear advantage over the guys. We are more patient, and have a gentler touch, and probably pay more attention to detail. If your daughter likes the work, I am sure she will do well with it. You are correct, she should keep reading these forums. There is more cumulative expertise here than she will find in any manual.

Hello- I'm in the early stages of my company but feel that female or male the work is out there and it's all what you make it to be to work towards your individual goals. To me it is very rewarding to see a repair fill in and feel like I accomplished something good. All the power to you!!!!! Happy repairing to averyone! Me(female) Karen-

Hey lets face it most fleet and carlot sales mgrs are men after 20+ yrs in auto sales I can tell you for a fact if she offers a similar product at the same price and is personable and atractive she will get some accounts you thought were impossible to get. The Novus girl who serviced the Dodge store I worked at for several years in San Diego walked in at $5 higher per repair took about $200 per week away from the guy who thought he had it locked up. She kept the account for years through at least 6 used car sales mgrs.
