Car dealers verses insurance work.

Hello everyone, I'm just curious as to what percentage of car dealership/fleet work vs. insurance work most repair techs are doing. right now I'm doing 100% car dealers, mostly with the smaller used car lots.

I do 50% fleet, 40% dealerships, 5% Insurance and 5% cash. Can vary year to year.

Almost all retail. My fleet accounts have me replace every few years. Of the retail, it's about 50/50 insurance claims vs cash out of pocket. I tried the dealer thing but I live in a rural area and its a lot of miles to drive to service people who don't want to pay...

50% dealers, 45% fleet and 5% retail that come to me and pay me direct, no insurance work at all. Dealers around here are great if you know how to handle them and can blow them away with quality of both product and service, mine pay more than the insurance work would.
