Is LYNX DISCRIMINATING against a NON FRANCHISE Repair & Replacement Shops

Post by the big welshman »

Re the above I hear that Lynxs would rather send work to a Franchise Repair & Replacement Shop first in a work area rather than sending the work to a Non Franchise shop. I also hear LYNX will be looking for a criminal back ground check for those Franchise & Non Franchise Shops at the owners expense :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

I can understand that, there are so many poorly trained people carrying out dismal repairs in our trade, personally I would like to see some kind of certification. That said the guys doing some watered down certification over here are testing on out dated proven wrong techniques.

SCREEN MAN Why do you have to change the SUBJECT     , The above is regarding LYNX using a FRANCHISE SHOPS example NOVUS Windshield Repair and Replacement-SUPPERGLASS -GLASS DOCTOR etc If you are enrolling on the LYNX MATRIX web page there is a section on WEB SITE asking if you are a franchise shop?? I am an independent Shop and get very little work from LYNX most of the work is sent to a franchise shops that's my beef ???

Sorry, over here we have no refferal work at all, and the market was wrecked years ago by people over charging the insurance companies, this was mainly independants with little in the way of quality control. Maybe this is a way of Lynx trying to get control to a limted degree.

I must add that I do not want and have never wanted insurance refferal work, way to costly and time consuming for me.

For sure , but I would rather do 4 or 5 repairs per customer than one. Fleet is where the money is in this game or even quality high turover dealers who are happy to pay a god price for a good product.

I am more than happy for the repairers around me to chase retail customers.

Maybe the person 3,000 miles away is trying to give you an insight into what maybe happening to your market. It is the same thing as happened here, only ours was 20+ years ago.

I have been trying to register my shop with LYNX for three weeks and they are making it more than difficult. I have faxed in paperwork 5 times and call them 15 to 20 times and still they say they can not find my EIN in their system. So today, I did everything all over again...lets see what happens.
