Placement of the 22395
Be sure the glass is free from glass fragments and any other debris that may scratch the surface of the glass or the surface of the 22395. Also be sure the face of the tool is clean and dry.
Use a digital thermometer to make sure the 22395 is at the desired temperature.
Place the 2” flat surface of the 22395 directly on the outside of the glass over the area to be cooled and hold in place until the glass reaches the desired temperature.
Use a digital thermometer to check the temperature of the glass and the tool. If at any time the 22395 becomes warmer than the glass it should be removed, and if necessary, cooled and reapplied until the desired temperature is reached.
When the target glass temperature is reached, remove the 22395 and start the windshield repair process immediately.
That’s all there is to it!
What the 22395 will not do.
The 22395 will not cool the entire windshield or maintain a consistent target temperature if the entire windshield is warmer than the target temperature. Traditional methods for heating and cooling should still be used to adjust the temperature of the entire windshield.
Disclaimer: When used properly the 22395 is the safest way to cool small areas of heated glass, however caution should always be exercised when placing a cool or cold object on a hot piece of glass as sudden temperature changes may cause the glass to crack. Delta Kits does not accept responsibility for any damage caused by the use or misuse of the 22395.
