NWRA Why I joined ....
darth vader random thought....
I agree with Starquest..After all is said and done on this forum about this issue there is a lot more said than done. We will not do any good if we keep preaching to the choir. let's put our money where our mouths are and make'em hear us.There are a lot of eloquent posters on this board that could serve our industry well as members of the NWRA or perhaps even on the board. However if these voices go unheard by the ears that can change things it's all futile. This is like complaining about the president but not being registered to vote.
Bob, Thank you for starting this thread! I regret that you feel like you're walking on egg shells. Your viewpoint is correct,as is that of Jeff,Brent & many others. If we all join, provide our input as to the direction NWRA should be going (as members our voices will be heard) & vote in next year's election we can actually have a very major impact on the future of WSR. We can accomplish this in a very short period of time,by next year,if we have the numbers. I,for one,am sick & tired of listening to the rantings of people with a personal vendetta! This is about our FUTURE,not the past problems. Some may not want to "speculate on futures",but by not getting involved, you are letting others choose your future for you! I don't care if you've done WSR for 17 years or 17 days we all need one another. We must work together to achieve our continued success in this great business. I am a former member of the NWRA who, for a while, have allowed myself to be swayed by others into thinking a new grassroots level WSR representative organization could be formed. However, nothing,NOTHING has come of it in these months of blab by the advocates. Even if you believe the board members aren't out to serve our best interests (I believe most of them are),we have a very dedicated friend in Peg Stroka. She will work tirelessly to help us. She takes a personal interest in each member. Well so much for my take on this issue. I strongly urge everyone who cares about WSR to join & take an active part in the National Windshield Repair Association. I sent my renewal off today. By the way Bob,since you have a website & are a member of the NWRA,you will receive a free link to your website. In closing:anyone feeling the need to assert yourself in a negative response to my post, don't expect a reply. I will simply disregard it. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! Thanks for your indulgence, Jim
