I've had a couple repairs done in the past, one was done by someone using the old style hand vac and the other was the injector style. My question is this.

With the injector, I noticed the seal is rather small. What does everyone do when the point of impact diameter is greater that the seal diameter? How do you get it to seal?

There's some post that mentioned this already. What I and alotta people do is fill the hole up with pit resin, cure it, and then drill it. Then repair it like you usually do. There's one time when I did this on a combination crack and after curing it, the pit resin blocks off all the legs in the center of the crack. I was disappointed that the repair didn't go well so I just grabbed me a heineken and brushed it off.

I have been told that you can take the Injector Base Seal and cut the stamp number off of the flat side and insert it into the power injector body upside down. This is supose to give you a larger surface to seal against the windshield. Has anyone attempted to make this work?

Take a old drill bit stick it in the hole fill with pit filler (sometimes I will drill a little so the bit is into or near laminate) spear a tab so the bit is sticking out let harden pull out drill bit apply injector boom its done
